Leadership

Clemente Joseph Salerno was born in Newark, NJ.  He is a homegrown minister of Calvary Tabernacle.  He was saved and baptized when he was 23 years old.  Since 1983, Clem has served as a licensed minister with Calvary Tabernacle.  In 1999, Clem was ordained as senior pastor when Pastor Tate retired.
Pastor Clem is a graduate of the Institute of Ministry, Bradenton, FL with an Able Minister’s diploma.  He also has a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College.  He is a Board Certified Temperament Counselor with the National Christian Counselor’s Association of Bradenton, FL.
In 1986 Clem married Connie Torrisi. They have two children, Nicole and Anthony and two grandchildren, David and Andi. 

Connie is anointed with extraordinary gifts in administration and is sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Connie has been a counselor, a mentor, a children’s ministry director, women’s ministry leader, teacher, encourager, small group director, community outreach director and so much more.  Her strongest attribute is her love for people.  She possesses a deep desire to see every believer activated and functioning in their God destiny. Together Clem and Connie make up a unique ministry team and consider it an honor to serve here at Calvary Tabernacle.

Jackie passionately provides our body with love, wisdom, and Godly counsel. Fully trained in Biblical counseling and with 35 years experience, she has faithfully served Calvary Tabernacle from its beginning. She is board certified with the NCCA in Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy and holds a Bachelors of Art in Christian Counseling. She also serves as a gifted disciple of prayer and altar workers and has a strong desire to see all believers baptized in the Holy Spirit and fully realize their individual God potential. She serves with her husband Joe as Home Group leaders in our House to House ministry. She has two children and three beautiful grandchildren. 

Aaron and Nicole were married in March 2016.  They both have served on various worship teams in the region and Nicole currently leads the Calvary Tabernacle Worship Team.  They currently live in Cranford and have a son, David and a daughter, Andi.  

Arielle was born and raised in Hopelawn, NJ.  After high school, she joined YWAM Los Angeles where she performed inner city outreach.  She then spent three months in Ecuador working with school aged children. Arielle has spent several years working as a preschool teaching and as a nanny. She has a strong calling on her life in children’s ministry.  She is currently studying early childhood education with Liberty University.  

Patrick is married and a doting father of three beautiful children. He has years of experience teaching and mentoring children. Patrick has a passion for truth and the Word of God. He considers it an honor and privilege to serve in the Children’s Ministry as children are precious gifts from God. He enjoys imparting the Love of God and the Word of God to children at an early age.

Anthony Salerno currently works with the creative department and youth ministry.  Before coming on board at Calvary, he spent time in Buffalo, NY where he went to ministry school with Eagles’ Wings, and worked at The Tabernacle Church as a youth pastor.  It was in ministry school where he discovered a passion and call to see the next generation on fire for God.  Anthony also has a heart for local and global missions and serves on the worship team.

Noreen is a Lover of ALL THINGS JESUS!
She has an immense Love for people and has a passion to see people healed, delivered, and set free. Her Love comes from her gratefulness for the unconditional Love given to her by our Magnificent God!!
With over 20 years of ministry experience, she has been ordained a Deaconess, Evangelist, Elder, Pastoral Care Chaplain and is a licensed Minister. God has blessed her with an anointing for inner healing and a keen sense of discernment. She operates in several of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and has a prophetic mantle upon her life.
One of Noreen’s greatest fulfillments is serving others, all for the glory of God! She loves to pray and intercede. She has a deep conviction that WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! (Luke 1:37)
Her journey with God has taken her through and brought her over many unimaginable circumstances and she ministers from the place of victory! She shares the goodness of God with all who will hear. Her favorite scripture is Ecclesiastes 7:8a, the end of a thing is better than the beginning thereof….
Noreen’s greatest desire is to leave this earthly realm empty of all that God has placed on the inside of her! With the realization that we are only here for two purposes which are God’s Will for our lives and to be our brother’s keeper, Noreen lives to fulfill both purposes.
Noreen is married to the Love of her life, Patrick, and they are blessed with three amazing children.
As she awaits the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Noreen has a spirit of expectation at all times and keeps her hands to the plow for no man knows the day or the hour.

James Tate, founding pastor of Calvary Tabernacle.  Having raised up many sons and daughters in the faith, it is apparent that his anointing for teaching and impartation have activated this generation and beyond.  Pastor Tate’s hunger for the move of God and the Holy Spirit has been an earmark of his powerful altar ministry and freedom for the gift of the Holy Spirit to flow.  Recognizing that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the key to witness and evangelism as well as gifts and fruits, he frequently ministered this gift to the body of Christ.  Pastor Tate and his wife, Arlene, were married for over 60 years and passed away in 2022.
