One of the key elements for growing in Christ is to be relationally involved with a local community of faith.  Some would view this as simply attending a church, or even pursuing formal membership with a specific denomination.  While these things are good in and of themselves, it is evident in scripture that God intended a deeper, more fulfilling experience than just attending a church.

God's desire is for us to BE the church and He gives us a clear model to follow in the book of Acts where the birth of the church first took place.  It didn't start with a building fund or a carpet color committee.  

It simply began with people who loved God and loved each other.  Acts 2:42-47 ⁴² And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. ⁴³ Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. ⁴⁴ Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, ⁴⁵ and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. ⁴⁶ So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from HOUSE TO HOUSE, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, ⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church^{a]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[a]} daily those who were being saved.  This is the inspiration for our House to House project which we call our H2 Groups.
